After living in Vancouver for 1 year, we have tried our fair share of vegan food in Vancouver. Although there are vegan restaurants, this guide will focus on where to find vegan options in any restaurant!
Vancouver is famous for its scenery, with its mountain views, golden sandy beaches and beautiful Stanley Park. It’s also a very ethnically diverse city that brings delicious cuisines to the surrounding area. Many of these cuisines are vegan-friendly restaurants in Vancouver.

100% Vegetarian. Located in the heart of Kitsilano, The Naam is a popular restaurant known by many locals in Vancouver.
They also serve daily features of the week including a variety of dishes. Whether you’re fancying brunch, lunch or dinner, The Naam has lots of choices when it comes to choosing what to eat.

Ba Le Deli & Bakery
Cuisine: Vietnamese Sandwiches
Neighbourhood: Mt Pleasant
Ba Le specialises in Vietnamese Banh Mi’s and has a selection of vegetarian and vegan Banh Mi’s to try! Hopefully, they stay permanently on the menu, as they are delicious!
If you order these, make sure the mayo is 100% vegan as they use both in-store.

The Workshop Vegetarian Cafe
Cuisine: Vegetarian & Vegan Take Out – Restaurant
Neighbourhood: Norgate (North Vancouver)
100% Vegetarian. “The Workshop Vegetarian Cafe serves signature ramen and udon noodle bowls, buddha bowls with rice and miso gravy. They also package noodles, broths, gyozas, and more in frozen form and sell it at the shop as well as other markets across town.”

Cuisine: Israeli Middle Eastern

100% Vegetarian. “Ofra’s Kitchen is the only Vegetarian/Vegan, Authentic Israeli/Middle Eastern cuisine at the amazing Denman St. location and only two blocks from the ocean.”
Ofra named her restaurant ‘Ofra’s Kitchen’ with her story in mind as it was her lifelong dream to open a restaurant and share the food that she makes. Serving many vegan options, this restaurant will make you feel like you’re eating food straight from Israel.

Do Chay
Cuisine: Vietnamese
Neighbourhood: Yaletown & East Vancouver
100% Vegetarian. Do Chay Saigon has an incredible menu almost entirely plant-based. There are many dishes to choose from including street food, noodle bowls, rice plates and share dishes.

The Burrow (Bandidas Taqueria)
Cuisine: Mexican
Neighbourhood: East Vancouver
100 %. Vegetarian. All of the dishes on the menu are vegan customisable which makes Bandidas very vegan-friendly. With an impressive restaurant journey, Bandidas would not exist without the generosity of our friends and the wider community in those initial days.

Ramen Danbo
Cuisine: Japanese Ramen
Neighbourhood: Downtown, Kitsilano & Kerrisdale
Ramen Danbo is extremely popular in Vancouver – and it’s great for vegans! They serve 4 types of vegan-friendly ramen with optional sides such as rice and vegan gyozas. Their ramen dishes are very customisable with the noodle size and broth thickness.
Ramen Danbo first opened in Japan and has made its way over to Vancouver for Canadians to try their tasty dishes!

The Eatery
Cuisine: Japanese Sushi

Sushi joint with kitschy decor, serving clever Japanese fare & rolls with whimsical names. The Eatery provides Vancouver with egg-free tempura which is delightful for vegans.
They have a menu with clear Vegetarian and Vegan signs with a full list of veggie sushi. Yam Rolls are new to us here in Vancouver, but they’re so tasty! It’s another one of our favourite vegan-friendly restaurants in Vancouver!
