Iceland is one of the most magical countries to visit in Europe. With icy waterfalls and northern lights in the winter to everlasting daylight and nature’s paradise in the summer. Iceland has to be on your Europe bucket list.

We rented a car in Iceland during December and admired the icy landscapes of the country. It truly is the land of ice.

From natural thermal pools to volcanic formations, you can spend weeks here discovering new places to visit!

If you love outdoor adventures, Iceland is for you. Hiring a campervan and lapping the island is one of the best things to do here!

Planning a trip to Iceland

Is Iceland vegan-friendly? Yes! Iceland has one of the best diets in the world and luckily some of that includes plant-based foods! You’ll find the most vegan options in Reykjavík, although it’s still possible throughout the country.

Is Iceland budget-friendly? No, Iceland isn’t really a budget destination. As we’re from the UK, the cost of travel there wasn’t too far off how much it costs to travel in the UK. There are ways to keep costs low but you’ll need to prepare for higher costs of food, petrol and accommodation.
