China
Planning a trip to China? You’re going to have a great time. From temples to mountains, major cities to small villages and Sichuan food to Oolong tea – there’s so much to do in this huge country.
We spent 3 amazing weeks in China exploring the capital city, modern Shanghai, took a boat cruise in Yangshuo and saw nature in Chengdu. And we would definitely visit again!
The cultural beauty of China blew us away and the food is absolutely incredible. Here’s our beautiful China travel guides:

Planning a trip to China
Is China vegan-friendly? Yes! But, also no. We ate vegan for 3 weeks in China and we heavily relied on the Happy Cow app. The food we did find was absolutely amazing and we would go back to China just for the food. However, we did have to search all the time for it and triple-check that the food was vegan if we ate at a non-vegetarian restaurant.
Is China budget-friendly? Yes, China has affordable prices for most hotels, activities, public transport and food. The biggest expense for us was the High-Speed Rail (bullet trains) which is unavoidable to get around the country fast! There are slower trains or sleeper trains if you’re really on a budget.
We’ve also spent 2 weeks in Japan and 2 weeks in South Korea if you’re planning a big East Asia trip!
