Poland
Poland is filled with colourful cities, rich history and the beautiful Tatra mountains.
The country has so much to offer and it’s the perfect backpacking destination in Europe. Visiting Auschwitz near Krakow is one of the hardest places to visit, but it’s important to learn about Europe’s dark history.
Polish cuisine is another reason to visit – we dream about pierogi (polish dumplings) all the time and even started to make them at home! Whenever we plan a trip back to Poland, it’s the first dish we have.

Planning a trip to Poland
Is Poland vegan-friendly? Yes! Poland is very into the vegan scene. Most of the cities in the country are filled with amazing vegan restaurants and vegan options. It became a little harder to find vegan options when we went skiing, but there’s always sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi to get us by. Check Happy Cow or browse our vegan in Krakow guide.
Is Poland budget-friendly? Poland is more affordable to travel than countries in Northern and Western Europe. Accommodation and food are cheaper and a lot of activities are budget-friendly too. Zakopane is a great place for beginner skiing on a budget.
