The Philippines
The Philippines has some of the best beaches in the world. They are also one of the most friendliest countries!
With over 7,600 islands, the country has a lot to offer. But, it’s not all about beaches! The cities are filled with Spanish influences from the architecture, buildings and even food.
We swam with turtles and saw dolphins in Bohol, went inside a shipwreck in Coron and relaxed on empty beaches in Siquijor Although it’s a little trickier to get around, it’s so worth it. Here are our Philippines travel guides:
Planning a trip to the Philippines
Is the Philippines vegan-friendly? The cuisine in the Philippines isn’t really vegan-friendly. We struggled to find vegan options in local places which meant we had to spend a little more money eating at western places or travelling further to find vegan food. There are a few vegan restaurants in Manila and our favourite is Cosmic!
Is the Philippines budget-friendly? Yes! The Philippines is a great country to travel on a budget. The costs will be slightly higher than countries like Vietnam or Thailand due to the huge amount of islands. The more places you travel to in the Philippines, the more you’ll spend on ferries and planes. Boat trips can also cost £25 in places like El Nido and Coron!
